Module 4

This module we will focus on learning about Layer 2 (switching) and touch a bit upon Layer 3 (CIDR).  These are important concepts to know before we move to understanding about type-1 hypervisors. Type-1 Hypervisors are usually run on a server, so you'll need a strong foundation in Layer 2 and Layer 3 when setting up a type-1 hypervisor and installing VMs. 

1. Understand the basics of how a  hardware switches operates  → LO #2

2. Demonstrate how to calculate a subnet mask from CIDR → LO #2

3. Understand the basics of VLSM → LO #2
